1. Pride is a political celebration.
Therefore, the Storting does not fly the pride flag, as the head of the secretariat has considered that pride is a political celebration, something they do not participate in. The question then becomes: Why should a political event be celebrated at workplaces and in schools, which are expected to be politically neutral arenas?
2. Pride is linked to interest groups with political ambitions.
The Fri Association owns Pride Oslo AS, Drammen Pride AS, and several others. The Fri Association is also the main organizer of pride events throughout the country.
3. The Fri Association aims to change Norwegian politics.
They want to legalize pimping, sex-buying, surrogacy, and allow marriages of multiple people and genders. They also want to change children's views of gender, so that children are taught in school that they can identify as anything - boy, girl, something else, something in between, or both. This is known as queer theory.
These three points provide good reasons to say no to celebrating pride at your workplace or school. It is a political celebration with a political agenda, and it is owned by political interest groups.
