Weird theory in school textbooks

Many parents are outraged by the content of school textbooks that present a new and radical understanding of gender to children and adolescents. According to this teaching, gender should be felt, experienced and expressed, and an individual's experience of their gender defines which gender they are.

Science and social studies textbooks from 4th grade and upwards (published after 2021) teach children that they can be a boy, a girl, both, something in between, or neither. This understanding is neither scientifically nor biologically correct, and for parents who hold a faith-based worldview, it is also incompatible with theological convictions.

The new doctrine, known as “queer theory”, has introduced the concept of “gender identity” into Norwegian legislation, state action plans and now also into our children’s schoolbooks. Children are easily influenced, and the process from changing clothes to changing pronouns and then demanding irreversible medical treatment can happen quickly. Therefore, it is now more important than ever that parents raise their voices and join in reversing this new heresy about gender in schools.

Website with revelations from school textbooks

We at Kristent Ressurssenter are working on developing a website that will inform parents about what is in school textbooks, as well as other revelations that will come from, among other things, digital learning materials. See more here: skeivteori.no

By educating and sharing knowledge, we want to strengthen parents' ability to actively participate in discussions and decisions about education in school. It is important that parents understand what their children are learning and engage in conversations about gender and identity. Well-informed parents are better equipped to ensure that their children receive a balanced, fact-based, and scientifically grounded understanding of gender.
