Already in kindergarten, concepts such as «gender identity» and «gender diversity» are introduced, and in school many children are told that gender is something that can be «felt» or «chosen». This is causing concern – and with good reason.

Young children are developing. They are shaped by clear frameworks, bodily experiences and adult responses. When they are told that body and gender are not necessarily connected, basic security is weakened, and a dangerous doubt can arise. Instead of supporting children in developing security in their bodies and identity, there is a risk causing them unnecessary insecurity.

Teaching children that gender is fluid is not a neutral move – it is an ideological claim that lacks biological, theological, and psychological foundations!

Gender is not a feeling

A person’s gender is linked to biological reality – not to thoughts or experiences. Although someone during puberty or adolescence may feel insecure about their body and identity, this does not mean that gender is fluid or optional. Peer-reviewed studies, statistics and experience show that in the vast majority of cases, children and young people find security and balance when they are supported to accept their bodies and the gender they were born with. They grow out of “dysphoria” during puberty, if medical treatment is not initiated.

In the British Cass Report (2024) It became clear that treatment services for young people with gender dysphoria have been characterized by weak professionalism, one-sidedness and ideological influence. The report warns against confirming children's confusion without thorough assessment, and recommends a clearer focus on psychosocial causes and comprehensive support.

«"The clinical approach has been characterized by weaknesses in systematics, documentation and the knowledge base. Children and adolescents need reassurance, not confirmation of identity confusion."»
– Dr. Hilary Cass, The Cass Review

Parents need to know what is being communicated

Gender education is increasingly taking place without parents being informed. In some cases, children's books and teaching materials are used that claim that "a boy can have girl's pee", or that there are "many different genders to choose from". And it is highly objectionable that almost all school textbooks in science and social studies from the 3rd grade convey that "only one person knows what gender they are, and that is you". Such messages can seem confusing and can be harmful to children who have not yet developed the ability to understand complex concepts, which can result in serious experimental and irreversible interventions.

Parents have the right to know what their children are learning – and to set limits. The Education Act emphasizes that teaching should be objective and respect parents' beliefs and convictions. When ideological gender theory is presented as fact, this principle is violated. Parental rights and the Children's Act are intended to ensure that the best interests of the child and the parents' philosophical and religious convictions are the basis for teaching.

This development is not just about school and teaching – it is about the view of humanity we convey to our children. When we dissolve the connection between body and reality, and move from personality and interests to identity, we weaken children's ability to understand themselves and find peace in who they are.

See more of findings in school books on our website: www.skeivteori.no

Safety is built on honest guidance

Standing up for truth is not an attack on anyone – it is a protection of the child’s integrity and development. That is why we need a new, honest conversation about what actually serves the best interests of children. A conversation where biology is allowed to speak the truth, and where children are allowed to grow up in truth and love – not in ideological experimentation.

Truth and love must not be in conflict. They must go hand in hand, and adults must take responsibility and stand up for this in a clear way – for the sake of the children. This creates trust and security.

Stadig flere foreldre opplever at barna blir eksponert for undervisning om kjønn og identitet som bygger på ideologiske føringer snarere enn biologisk virkelighet.
